Let \(w=(w_n)_{n\in\mathbb N}\) be a sequence of non-negative numbers, \(s\in\mathbb C\). The Hilbert space \[ {\mathcal H}_w=\{ f(s)=\sum_{n\in\mathbb N} a_n n^{-s} : \sum \frac{|a_n|^2}{w_n}<\infty\} \] (if \(w_n=0\), we exclude the basis vector \(n^{-s}\) from this definition) is called the Hilbert space of Dirichlet series with weights \(w\). In the paper under review the author shows that the asymptotic behavior of the partial sums of the sequence \(w\) determine the local behavior of the Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}_w\). This extends results recently obtained describing the local behavior of Dirichlet series with square summable coefficients in terms of local integrability, boundary behavior, Carleson measures and interpolating sequences. As these spaces can be identified with function spaces on the infinite-dimensional polydisk, this gives new results on the Dirichlet and Bergman spaces on the infinite-dimensional polydisk, as well as the scale of Besov--Sobolev spaces containing the Drury--Arveson space on the infinite-dimensional unit ball. The author uses techniques from the theory of sampling in Paley--Wiener spaces and classical results from analytic number theory.
