The authors extend the results of \textit{K. Baron} and \textit{J. Wesolowski} [Result. Math. 76, No. 4, Paper No. 168, 14 p. (2021; Zbl 1473.39037)] to the multidimensional case. Suppose that \(\mathcal{C}\) is a convex cone in a real linear space and \((M, *)\) is a nonempty set equipped with a binary operation \(*\). They determine solutions of the equation \(f(x + y) = f(x) * f(h(x)y)\) for \(x, y \in \mathcal{C}\) in a class of pairs of functions \((f, h)\), where \(f : \mathcal{C} \to M\) and \(h: \mathcal{C} \to [0, \infty)\). They consider the solutions \((f, h)\) of the above equation under the condition \(\ker h := \{x\in \mathcal{C}|~h(x) = 0\} \neq \varnothing\). Furthermore, they explore the case where \(\ker h =\varnothing\).
