The \(L^\infty\) estimate is crucial for finding a smooth solution to the Kähler-Ricci flow. The difficulty in deriving an \(L^\infty\) estimate is that it is independent of the time interval \(\left[0,T\right]\). \textit{S.-T. Yau} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 31, 339--411 (1978; Zbl 0369.53059)] derived the \(L^\infty\) estimate for the Monge-Ampère equation using Moser iteration, while \textit{S. Kołodziej} [Indiana Univ. Math. J. 52, No. 3, 667--686 (2003; Zbl 1039.32050)] proved it via the pluripotential theory. Rather than considering the Monge-Ampère equations themselves, \textit{H.-D. Cao} [Invent. Math. 81, 359--372 (1985; Zbl 0574.53042)] investigated the estimates for the Kähler-Ricci flow. The author requires a weaker regularity on the right-hand side than in Cao's \(L^\infty\) estimate. This requirement is analogous to that in [\textit{B. Guo} et al., Ann. Math. (2) 198, No. 1, 393--418 (2023; Zbl 1525.35121)]. Not only is the \(p\)-entropy bound needed, but also some upper bounds on the time derivative \(\dot{\varphi}\) of the solution. Cao [loc. cit.] showed that the supremum of \(\dot{\varphi}\) can be controlled by the infimum of \(e^{nF}\) when \(F\) is smooth. The authors improved the pointwise condition by introducing a condition on the space function \(F\). The key aspect of this paper is to identify suitable auxiliary equations that involve only local information. This family of auxiliary equations addresses the issue of the singularities, and the authors introduce a technique for removing them. Furthermore, the authors apply the De Giorgi iteration method and use a parabolic version of the ABP estimate to provide a uniform energy bound. This technique can be extended to some other parabolic Monge-Ampère equations derived from Kähler geometry and \(G_2\) geometry.
