Suppose \(\mathbf f\) is an infinite iterated function system on \([0,1]\) with an attractor \(\Lambda(\mathbf{f})\), as well as \(D\) is an infinite subset of positive integers.\N\NSuppose \(\varphi : \mathbb{N} \to [\min D, \infty)\) is a function for which the condition \(\varphi (n) \to \infty\) as \(n \to \infty\) holds.\N\NIn this paper, the main attention is given to the set \N\[\N\mathbb{E}(\mathbf{f}, D) = \{x \in \Lambda(\mathbf{f}) : a_n(x) \in D \text{ for all } n \in \mathbb{N} \text{ and } \lim_{n \to \infty} a_n = \infty\}\N\]\Nand the Hausdorff dimension of its subset \N\[\NS(\mathbf{f}, D, \varphi) = \{x \in \mathbb{E} (\mathbf{f}, D) : a_n (x) \leq \varphi (n) \text{ for all } n \in \mathbb{N}\}.\N\]\NIt is proven ``that the Hausdorff dimension stays the same no matter how slowly the function \(\varphi\) grows''. Also, the result was extended ``to slowly growing products of (not necessarily consecutive) digits''.\N\NSome attention is also given to explanations of the basis for the theory of infinite iterated function systems on the unit interval. According to the last-mentioned descriptions, some notions and results in the fractal dimension theory of continued fraction were noted. Regular continued fractions, Lüroth and generalized Lüroth series, as well as the quadratic Gauss map, are considered. Used techniques and connections with known results are explained.
