Based on authors' abstract: It is well known that congruences of Fourier coefficients of modular forms have long been an object of central study. By comparison, the arithmetic of other expansions of modular forms, in particular Taylor expansions around points in the upper half-plane, has been much less studied. The paper under review concerns about it. Let \(\theta_3 := \sum_{n \in \mathbb{Z}} e^{\pi i n^2 \tau} \) be the classical Jacobi theta function. Recently, \textit{D. Romik} [Ramanujan J. 52, No. 2, 275--290 (2020; Zbl 1460.11053)] made a conjecture about the periodicity of coefficients around \(\tau_0 =i \). In the paper under review, the authors generalize the phenomenon observed by Romik to a broader class of modular forms of half-integral weight and, in particular, prove the conjecture.
