One of the most interesting topics of research in physics and engineering is the investigation of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. This topic has attracted a special interest of several mathematicians, physicists, scientists, and engineers. Some important research works related to this topic of research haven been conducted in \textit{T. Ghosh} et al., Anal. PDE 13, No. 2, 455--475 (2020; Zbl 1439.35530) and \textit{M. K. A. Kaabar} et al., ``New approximate-analytical solutions for the nonlinear fractional Schrödinger equation with second-order spatio-temporal dispersion via double Laplace transform method'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2010.10977}]. This paper investigates, with the help of profile decomposition, global Stricharz estimate, and energy induction, the large data scattering of two important initial value problems of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, and those two problems are mass supercritical and energy critical. The first problem is called the defocusing quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on \(\mathbb{R}^{2} \times \mathbb{T}\) which can be expressed in the following definition: Given a nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a power-type nonlinearity on waveguide manifold, denoted by \(\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\), and a laplace-Beltrami operator on \(\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\), denoted by \(\Delta_{\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}}\), and given a complex-valued function, denoted by \(\Psi: \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\rightarrow \mathbb{C}\). Then, by letting \(k=2\) and \(s=1\), the defocusing quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on \(\mathbb{R}^{2} \times \mathbb{T}\) is written as follows: \((i\partial_{t}+\Delta_{\mathbb{R}^{2} \times \mathbb{T}})\Psi=F(\Psi)=|\Psi|^{4}\Psi\) subject to \(\Psi(0,x)=\Psi_{0}\in H^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{2} \times \mathbb{T})\). The second problem is known as the defocusing cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on \(\mathbb{R}^{3} \times \mathbb{T}\) which can be similarly expressed as follows: Given a nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a power-type nonlinearity on waveguide manifold, denoted by \(\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\), and a laplace-Beltrami operator on \(\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\), denoted by \(\Delta_{\mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}}\), and given a complex-valued function, denoted by \(\Psi: \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{R}^{k} \times \mathbb{T}^{s}\rightarrow \mathbb{C}\). Then, by letting \(k=3\) and \(s=1\), the defocusing cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on \(\mathbb{R}^{3} \times \mathbb{T}\) is written as follows: \((i\partial_{t}+\Delta_{\mathbb{R}^{3} \times \mathbb{T}})\Psi=F(\Psi)=|\Psi|^{2}\Psi\) subject to \(\Psi(0,x)=\Psi_{0}\in H^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{3} \times \mathbb{T})\). The above two problems have a relationship between each other where both of their linear profiles and profile decompositions are equivalent due to the fact that these problems are mass supercritical and energy critical. However, both of these problems have different nonlinear estimates due to the fact that one problem is quintic and the other one is cubic. Finally, the author has successfully proved by contradiction the large date scattering for the above two problems where the global Strichartz estimates and local well-posedness with the small data scattering for the above two problems have been investigated in this research work. In addition, Euclidean profile and approximation have been also discussed in this paper. Although this paper is a very long research paper, this paper is well-organized with all new and interesting results, and every page is worthy. Therefore, all researchers in this field of research are highly recommended to refer to this great research work for future related research works. Some possible future research work can be conducted on the investigation of those important initial value problems formulated in the sense of fractional derivatives. This possible future research work will make working on this topic more interesting. Some interesting research works have been done recently on investigating various problems and phenomena in the context of fractional derivatives and integrals (we refer to [\textit{Q.
