The authors investigate the topological structure of the space of \(d\)-composition operators, acting on Bergman spaces on the unit disc, under the operator norm topology. Such operators form a special class of the weighted composition operators and are defined by \(D_\varphi (f) : = \varphi' f \circ \varphi\). Mainly, they characterize the compact difference of two derivative weighted composition operators and discuss the isolation and component structure of the derivative weighted composition operator. Moreover, they show that the compact \(d\)-composition operators form an arcwise connected set and determine when linear-fractional \(d\)-composition operators belong to the same component.
