    Let \(L\) be an ample line bundle on a smooth projective surface \(S\). It is known that the global Seshadri constant \(\varepsilon(L)\) of \(L\) satisfies \(\varepsilon(L) \leq \sqrt {L^2}\). In the case of \(K3\) surfaces Seshadri constants have only been computed for the hyperplane bundle of quartic surfaces by \textit{T. Bauer} [Math.\ Ann.\ 303, 475--481 (1999; Zbl 0885.14018)] and for non-globally generated ample line bundles by \textit{T. Bauer, S. Di Rocco} and \textit{T. Szemberg} [J.\ Pure Appl.\ Algebra 146, No. 1, 17--27 (2000; Zbl 0956.14002)]. The author proves that if \(S\) is a \(K3\) surface with \(\text{Pic}(S) \cong \mathbb Z\) generated by \(L\), then either \(\varepsilon(L)\geq \alpha\) or \(\varepsilon(L) \in \{\alpha - \frac{2}{\alpha+1}, \alpha - \frac{1}{2\alpha+1}\}\), where \(\alpha = \lfloor \sqrt {L^2} \rfloor\). In particular, it follows that if \(L^2 = \alpha ^2\) for an integer \(\alpha \geq 4\), then \(\varepsilon(L)=\alpha\).
