The author derives an explicit formula for the Lipschitz constant in a result of \textit{F. Wirth} [Linear Algebra Appl. 342, 17--40 (2002; Zbl 0996.15020)], which states that the joint spectral radius of irreducible compact sets of matrices is locally Lipschitz continuous as a function of the matrix set.
