A complex manifold \(X\) has the ``density property'' (in the sense of \textit{D. Varolin} [J. Geom. Anal. 11, No. 1, 135--160 (2001; Zbl 0994.32019)]) if every holomorphic vector field can be approximated by a Lie combination of integrable holomorphic vector fields, i.e., if the integrable holomorphic vector fields generate a Lie algebra which is dense in the Lie algebra of all holomorphic vector fields with respect to the topology of locally uniform convergence. It is a classical result of \textit{E. Andersén} and \textit{L. Lempert} [Invent. Math. 110, No. 2, 371--388 (1992; Zbl 0770.32015)] that \({\mathbb C}^n\) has this property as well as a modification of this property which is called ``volume density property'': this is the analogue property concerning only those vector fields which preserve the euclidean volume form on \({\mathbb C}^n\). These notions can be defined in the holomorphic as well as in the algebraic category. Kaliman and Kutzschebauch prove that every complex linear algebraic group fulfills both the algebraic and the holomorphic ``volume density property'' with respect to the unique volume form which is invariant under left multiplication by group elements.
