Multirate numerical scheme for large-scale vehicle traffic simulation

Traffic problems of megapolices and their models are often incorporated many thousands of vehicles and described by systems of ordinary differential equations of a very high dimension. Methods of choice of integration steps and a parallelization of algorithms to increase the speed of numerical calculations are discussed.
