Dedekind-like behavior of rings with 2-generated ideals
Ein kommutativer Ring R ohne nilpotente Elemente wird ein Bass Ring genannt, falls der ganze Abschluß \(\bar R\) im vollen (klassischen) Quotientenring K ein endlich erzeugter R-Modul ist und jedes Ideal von R durch zwei Elemente erzeugt werden kann. Unter einem R-Gitter M wird ein endlich erzeugter R-Untermodul eines K-Moduls verstanden. Es existiert ein durch \(K\epsilon (M)=Ann(K,KM)\) eindeutig bestimmtes idempotentes Element \(\epsilon(M)\). Jedes Gitter M über einem Bass Ring R hat eine Zerlegung \(M=I_ 1\oplus...\oplus I_ n,\quad wo\) \(I_ j\), \(1\leq j\leq n\), ein Ideal von R ist. Unter cl(M) wird die Isomorphieklasse vom Produkt \(\prod_{1\leq j\leq n}(I_ j\oplus R\epsilon (I_ j))\) verstanden. Das Hauptergebnis der vorliegenden Arbeit besagt, daß zwei R-Gitter M und N über einem Bass Ring R genau dann isomorph sind, wenn \(cl(M)=cl(N)\) und \(M_{{\mathfrak m}}\cong N_{{\mathfrak m}}\) für jedes maximale Ideal \({\mathfrak m}\) von R gilt. Etliche Anwendungen werden hergeleitet. Das Geschlecht eines R-Gitters M ist die Klasse aller R- Gitter N, derart daß \(M_{{\mathfrak m}}\cong N_{{\mathfrak m}}\) für jedes maximale Ideal \({\mathfrak m}\) von R ist. Mittels des Hauptsatzes wird u.a. dargetan, daß die Menge der Isomorphieklassen in jedem Geschlecht eine natürliche Gruppenstruktur zuläßt und daß die entsprechende Gruppe ein homomorphes Bild der Picardschen Gruppe von R ist.
