Abstract: In this article we prove that for locally defined singular SU(n+1) Toda systems in R^2, the profile of fully bubbling solutions near the singular source can be accurately approximated by global solutions. The main ingredients of our new approach are the classification theorem of Lin-Wei-Ye and the non-degeneracy of the linearized Toda system, which make us overcome the difficulties that come from the lack of symmetry and the singular source.

Let \((M, g)\) be a compact Riemann surface, \(\Delta\) the Beltrami-Laplace operator of the metric \(g\), and \(K\) the Gauss curvature. Under consideration is the \(SU(n+1)\) Toda system \[ \begin{aligned} & \Delta u_{i} +\sum_{j=1}^{n}a_{ij}h_{j}(x)e^{u_{j}} -K(x) =4\pi \sum_{j=1}^{n}\gamma_{ij}\delta(x-q_{j}),\\ & 1\leq i\leq n, \end{aligned} \eqno{(1)} \] where \(h_{ij}\) are smooth positive functions, \(\delta(x-q_{j})\) is the Dirac measure concentrated at a point \(q_{j}\), and \(A=\{a_{ij}\}\) is the Cartan matrix. Due to the local character of the results, this system is replaced with the simpler system \[ \begin{aligned} & \Delta u_{i} +\sum_{j=1}^{n}a_{ij}h_{j}(x)e^{u_{j}}=4\pi\gamma_{i}\delta(x),\\ & 1\leq i\leq n,\;x\in B\subset{\mathbb R}^{2}, \end{aligned} \eqno{(2)} \] where \(B\) is the unit ball centered at 0. The authors define the so-called fully bubbling sequences of solutions to (2) which can have blowup point at 0. The main result is that a fully bubbling sequence of solutions can be approximated by a sequence of global solutions to the system (2), where \(h_{j}\equiv 1\) for all \(j\).
