A survey on regularity conditions for state-constrained optimal control problems and the non-degenerate maximum principle (Q2302824)

This is a survey concerning the issue of necessary optimality condition for optimal control problems with state constraints. The authors examine the current state of the maximum principle for these types of problems. They put emphasis on the condition of nondegeneracy, controllability, normality and continuity of the Lagrange multiplier of the maximum principle. They also present some open problems related to this topic. However, the development of nonsmooth aspects remains outside of the scope of this survey.
