Abstract: Let $mathcalM$ be the uncentered Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator or the dyadic maximal operator and $dgeq1$. We prove that for a set $Esubsetmathbb{R}^d$ of finite perimeter the bound $operatornamevarmathcalM{1}_{E}leq{C}_{d}operatornamevar{1}_E$ holds. We also prove this for the local maximal operator.
