In this article is considered the Cauchy problem \[ \begin{cases} u_{tt}-\Delta u+a(x) b(t)u_t=f(u),\quad (t, x)\in (0, \infty)\times \mathbb R^n,\\ u(0, x)=u_0(x), u_t(0, x)=u_1(x),\quad x\in \mathbb R^n, \end{cases} \tag{1} \] where \(u_0\in H^1(\mathbb R^n)\), \(u_1\in L^2(\mathbb R^n)\), \(a(x)=a_0(1+|x|^2)^{-{{\alpha}\over 2}}\), \(b(t)=(1+t)^{-\beta}\), \(a_0>0\), \(\alpha, \beta\geq 0\), \(\alpha+\beta<1\), the nonlinear term \(f(u)\) is given by \(f(u)=\pm |u|^p\) or \(f(u)=|u|^{p-1}u\).
