This article extends the regularity and graded simplicity results on Leavitt path algebras over graphs to a more general setting, namely to the Leavitt path algebras defined over ultragraphs. All algebras in the paper are defined over a field. By using the necessary tools from previous results on Leavitt path algebras over ultragraphs, the authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for which a Leavitt path algebra over an ultragraph is regular in Theorem 2.9. In Theorem 3.4, purely infinite simple Leavitt path algebras over ultragraphs are characterized by the equivalent graph-theoretical conditions. Finally, graded simplicity is discussed in Theorem 3.9.
