    The authors consider properties of an autonomous differential quasi-variational inequality involving an ordinary differential equation and complementarity conditions. Extending the results from the differential non-linear complementarity systems obtained in the paper by \textit{J.-S.~Pang} and \textit{J.~Shen} [IEEE Trans. Autom. Contr., 52, 242-255 (2007)], they prove that the trajectory index sets corresponding to the complementarity conditions and active/inactive constraints in the quasi-variational inequality are fixed in the two time subintervals \([t_0-\varepsilon, t_0)\) and \((t_0, t_0+\varepsilon]\), which is treated as non Zeno property. Also, the analyticity of the trajectory in the two open subintervals is established. The results require certain regularity conditions. Their application to a frictional contact problem is also described.
