    L'étude des automorphismes des surfaces de Riemann est un sujet particulièrement riche et intéressant. L'un des résultat fondateur est dû à \textit{A. Hurwitz} [Math. Ann. 41, 403--442 (1893; JFM 24.0380.02)] qui a montré que le cardinal du groupe d'automorphismes d'une surface de Riemann est inférieur ou égal à \(84(g-1)\). Les surfaces ayant un groupe d'automorphismes de cardinal proche de cette borne sont particulièrement intéressantes. En particulier, on dit qu'une surface de Riemann de genre \(g\) possède un groupe d'automorphismes large si ce groupe possède strictement plus que \(4(g-1)\) éléments. La classification de ces surfaces de Riemann ayant un groupe d'automorphismes de cardinal supérieur ou égale à \(\lambda (g-1)\) avec \(\lambda>6\) et \(g-1\) premier est donnée dans [\textit{M. Belolipetsky} and \textit{G. A. Jones}, Glasg. Math. J. 47, No. 2, 379--393 (2005; Zbl 1084.30050)]. Cet article conclut la classification des surfaces de Riemann ayant un groupe d'automorphismes large de genre \(g\) supérieur ou égal à \(8\) avec \(g-1\) premier. Le résultat principal du présent article est la classification des surfaces de Riemann ayant un groupe d'automorphismes de cardinalité \(5(g-1)\) et \(6(g-1)\) avec \(g-1\) premier. Cela permet aux auteurs de montrer qu'il n'existe pas de surface de Riemann dont le groupe d'automorphismes possède exactement \(3(g-1)\) éléments avec \(g\geq8\) et \(g-1\) est premier. La preuve de ces résultat est claire et bien exposée. Elle consiste à étudier les quotients des surfaces de Riemann par leur groupe d'automorphismes. La formule de Riemann-Hurwitz donne un nombre fini de possibilité pour le genre du quotient et les indices de ramifications. Ensuite les auteurs étudient précisément chacun des cas ainsi obtenu.
