Let \((E, {\mathcal E})\) be a measurable space. A kernel on \(E\) is a map \(K\) from \(E \times {\mathcal E}\) to \([0,\infty]\), such that each \(K(x,\cdot)\) is a measure on \((E, {\mathcal E})\), and each function \(K(\cdot, B)\) is \(\mathcal E\)-measurable. The authors investigate estimates of the series \(\sum\limits_{m=0}^\infty K^m\) for integral kernels satisfying a transience-type condition. Applications to the estimates of Schrödinger perturbations of integral kernels are included.
