Directed homology and persistence modules

From MaRDI portal

The paper introduces a directed homology theory, which is built on modules over algebras. This theory connects with both persistence homology, commonly used in topological data analysis, and natural homology, which is relevant in directed topology. The study delves into the properties of this directed homology, including relative homology and Mayer-Vietoris long exact sequences, and a Künneth formula. This article has been written so that it would be mostly self-contained and so that it would use only elementary and detailed arguments.
