The article under review is a survey that collects and explains in a systematic manner the recent results of the authors (and others) on the geometry of projective varieties admitting special classes of endomorphisms. In particular, the authors focus on the results contained in the papers [\textit{S. Meng}, Math. Z. 294, No. 3--4, 1727--1747 (2020; Zbl 1439.14057); \textit{S. Meng} and \textit{D.-Q. Zhang}, Adv. Math. 325, 243--273 (2018, Zbl 1387.14057); Math. Z. 292, No. 3--4, 1223--1231 (2019, Zbl 1498.14132)]. The survey is mostly concerned with the study of polarised endomorphism: a projective variety \(X\) is endowed with a (numerically) polarised endomorphism if there exists a surjective morphism \(f \colon X \rightarrow X\) and an ample divisor \(L\) on \(X\) such that \(f^\ast L \equiv qL\) for some integer \(q>1\). The more general notion of int-amplified endomorphism is also considered. The discussion mainly addresses the characteristic zero case. The authors discuss the geometric structure of projective varieties admitting polarised morphisms, in particular, detailing several results about their birational structure. They also discuss equivariance of the runs of the Minimal Model Program with respect to the monoid generated by all surjective endomorphisms of X (more precisely, with respect to finite index submonoids thereof). Finally, they also discuss which of the results contined in the survey also hold in positive characteristic. The survey is well written and constitutes a nice introduction and summary of the current state of the art on the subject.
