Limit cycles of planar system defined by the sum of two quasi-homogeneous vector fields (Q2028974)

An autonomous system of second-order ordinary differential equations based on the sum of two quasi-homogeneous vector fields is considered. Sufficient conditions under which a given system has at most one limit cycle are obtained in Theorem 1.1. Sufficient conditions under which this system has at least one limit cycle are given in Proposition 1.2. It is shown how to construct systems with an unique limit cycle on the basis of these statements. Examples are given.
