In modern terminology, the classical Dold-Kan Theorem [\textit{A. Dold}, Ann. Math. (2) 68, 54--80 (1958; Zbl 0082.37701); \textit{D. M. Kan}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 87, 330--346 (1958; Zbl 0090.39001); \textit{A. Dold} and \textit{D. Puppe}, Ann. Inst. Fourier 11, 201--312 (1961; Zbl 0098.36005)] establishes a Quillen model categorical equivalence between the categories of simplicial abelian groups and differential graded abelian groups. There are extensions of this result that establishes such an equivalences between the category of cyclic modules (\(\Lambda\)-modules in Connes' notation and \(\Delta C\)-modules in Loday's notation) and the category of duplicial complexes [\textit{W. G. Dwyer} and \textit{D. M. Kan}, Comment. Math. Helv. 60, 582--600 (1985; Zbl 0593.18010); J. Pure Appl. Algebra 44, 165--175 (1987; Zbl 1375.18073)], the category of mixed complexes [\textit{C. Kassel}, J. Algebra 107, 195--216 (1987; Zbl 0617.16015)], and the category of \(S\)-modules [\textit{J. D. S. Jones} and \textit{C. Kassel}, \(K\)-Theory 3, No. 4, 339--365 (1989; Zbl 0755.18008); \textit{C. Kassel}, J. Reine Angew. Math. 408, 159--180 (1990; Zbl 0691.18002)]. The paper under review aims to establish a Dold-Kan type equivalence between the category of para-cyclic modules (\(\Delta\mathbb{Z}\)-modules in Loday's notation) and a new category the author calls \emph{para-\(S\)-modules} which is originally introduced (without being named) by \textit{E. Getzler} and \textit{J. D. S. Jones} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 445, 161--174 (1993; Zbl 0795.46052)]. The main technical tools used by the author is the homological perturbation theory. The article under review, and its sequel under preparation, aims to pave the way for calculating the cyclic homology of crossed-product algebras by discrete group rings [\textit{R. Ponge}, C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 355, No. 6, 623--627 (2017; Zbl 1380.46055); C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 355, No. 6, 618--622 (2017; Zbl 1380.46054)].
