The paper under review gives a general construction of Bridgeland stability conditions of the bounded derived category \(D^b(\operatorname{Coh}(\mathcal{S}))\) of the canonical stack \(\mathcal{S}\) associated to a projective surface with Kleinian singularity. The construction unifies the method for smooth surfaces in [\textit{D. Arcara} and \textit{A. Bertram}, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 15, No. 1, 1--38 (2013; Zbl 1259.14014)] and the construction in [\textit{T. Bridgeland}, Int. Math. Res. Not. 2009, No. 21, 4142--4157 (2009; Zbl 1228.14012)]. For the correct definition of the central charge, the authors take into account the orbifold cohomology of \(\mathcal{S}\), and to prove the main reuslt, they develop a strengthened Bogomolov-Gieseker inequality using a version of Riemann-Roch given in [\textit{B. Toen}, \(K\)-Theory 18, No. 1, 33--76 (1999; Zbl 0946.14004)]. The paper also analyzes the wall-crossing of a point class object \([\mathcal{O}_x]\), and also compares the main construction with the quiver representation theory using the derived McKay equivalence [\textit{T. Bridgeland} et al., J. Am. Math. Soc. 14, No. 3, 535--554 (2001; Zbl 0966.14028)].
