    For the real part of the nowadays well-known spaces \(A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\), \(s \in \mathbb R\), \(0<p,q \le \infty\), where \(A\in \{B,F \}\), satisfying in addition \[ A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) \subset L^{\mathrm{loc}}_1 (\mathbb R^n)\,, \] it makes sense to ask for conditions ensuring \[ |f| \in A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\text{ if }f\in A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) \] and \[ \big\| \, |f| \, | A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) \big\| \le c \, \|f \, | A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n) \| \] for some \(c >0\) and all real \(f\in A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\). This so-called truncation problem is largely solved for the spaces \(B^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) and (to a lesser extent) for the spaces \(F^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\). If one replaces in the standard Fourier-analytical definition of the spaces \(A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) the basic Lebesgue spaces \(L_p (\mathbb R^n)\) by the more general Morrey spaces \(\mathcal{M}^{u}_p (\mathbb R^n)\), then one obtains the spaces \(\mathcal{N}^s_{u,p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) (generalizing \(B^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\)) and \(\mathcal{E}^s_{u,p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) (generalizing \(F^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\)). The paper deals with the truncation problem for these spaces. Furthermore, it is indicated that the so-called Fubini property for the spaces \(F^s_{p,q}(\mathbb R^n)\) is no longer valid for \( \mathcal{E}^s_{u,p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) in general.
