Degenerations of nilpotent algebras (Q2229969)

The authors give a description of degenerations of 3-dimensional nilpotent algebras, 4-dimensional nilpotent commutative algebras and 5-dimensional nilpotent anticommutative algebras over \(\mathbf C\), formalizing the method of Skjelbred and Sund for the cases of commutative and anticommutative algebras. For three-dimensional nilpotent algebras the authors, on the basis of a well-known classification of such algebras, indicate primary degenerations and cases of absence of degenerations. The case of 4-dimensional nilpotent anticommutative algebras is considered in more details in the article. For nilpotent anticommutative algebras of dimension 5, only one case was considered. The results are given in the form of tables of degenerations and non-degenerations and in form of graphs of primary degenerations for the corresponding varieties.
