The interesting paper under review deals with existence/nonexistence issues regarding positive solutions to the quasilinear elliptic inequality \[ L_{\mathcal{A}}u:= \text{div}\, \big[\mathcal{A}(x,u,\nabla u)\big]\geq \big(I_\alpha * u^p\big)u^q\quad \text{in}\ \Omega \] and its associated systems. Here \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^N,\) \(N\geq 1,\) is either open and bounded, or the whole space \(\mathbb{R}^N,\) or is the exterior of a closed ball in \(\mathbb{R}^N,\) \(I_\alpha\) is the Riesz potential of order \(\alpha\in(0,N),\) \(p>0\) and \(q\in \mathbb{R}.\) The operator \(L_{\mathcal{A}}\) is assumed to be coercive and includes as particular cases the \(m\)-Laplace and the \(m\)-mean curvature operators. The authors obtain optimal ranges of exponents \(p,\) \(q\) and \(\alpha\) for which positive solutions do exist. Existence and nonexistence of positive solutions to some systems of quasilinear elliptic inequalities are studied as well.
