Spin weighted spherical wavelets derived from approximate identities (Q2320080)

The paper introduces spin weighted spherical wavelets based on approximate identities as an analysis tool for spin weighted functions. In the spin \(0\) case there exist two essentially different continuous wavelet transforms for square integrable functions over the sphere; that based on group theory and that based on approximate identities. The first one has been recently extended to the case of spin weighted functions. The paper under consideration provides the approximate-identity-counterpart of the extension to the case of spin weighted functions.
