Quotient stability of a class of composite equations (Q2341934)

The quotient stability of the equations \[ f(x+g(x)y)=f(x)f(y) \] and \[ f(x+M(f(x))y)=\lambda f(x)f(y) \] are examined. In the third and fourth sections it is proved that quotient stability holds in both cases (Theorem 3.1 and Theorem 4.1).
