The Cauchy problem for the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in \({\mathbb R}^3\) is studied. If a suitably small, global in time solution (not necessarily regular as it is in the case of singular forces) exists, then this is shown to be asymptotically stable under arbitrarily large initial divergence-free \(L^2\)-perturbations.
