Abelian duality and propagation of resonance (Q2412552)

The authors explore relationships between an abelian duality type property for topological spaces and some propagation properties of their cohomology jump loci. The simplest examples are offered by complements of complex hyperplane arrangements, and by the propagation properties of their resonance and characteristic varieties. The case of the resonance varieties in this setting goes back to \textit{D. Eisenbud, S. Popescu} and \textit{S. Yuzvinsky} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 355, No. 11, 4365--4383 (2003; Zbl 1034.52019)], and its generalization, called the EPY property, to spaces with an abelian duality property, is studied in detail in this very interesting paper.
