Considered is a Cauchy problem for the two dimensional linear wave equation containing a decaying potential \(V\), and one is interested in proving different types of dispersive estimates for the solution operators when initial data are sufficiently differentiable and under some weak assumptions on the potential. Properties of the two-dimensional free resolvent needed for the analysis are discussed first. Denote \(H=-\Delta+V\). If zero is a regular point of the spectrum of \(H\) one proves a dispersive estimate result together with a weighted version of it which contains a faster time decay rate. High-energy as well as low-energy dispersive bounds have been established first. Finally the case when zero is not a regular point of the spectrum of \(H\) has been considered and new dispersive estimates have been proved.
