Lifts of automorphisms of vertex operator algebras in simple current extensions (Q2466800)

The author studies isomorphisms between simple current extensions of a simple vertex operator algebra (VOA). He obtains lifts of automorphisms of a vertex operator algebra in a simple current extension, and describes the normalizer of the abelian group associated with that extension in the automorphism group of the extension. As an application, the author classifies the isomorphism classes of simple current extensions of VOAs \(V_{\sqrt{2}E_{8}}^{+}\) and \(V_{\Lambda _{16}}^{+}\), where \(\Lambda _{16}\) is the Barnes-Wall lattice of rank 16. Furthermore, he considers the Moonshine module \(V^{\natural}\) as simple current extensions of five subVOAs \(V_{L}^{+}\) for certain even lattices \(L\) and describes the corresponding five normalizers. Using that, he shows that three of them form a Monster amalgam.
