The authors deal in this paper with the Jacobian of compact nonorientable Klein surfaces. Let \(Y = X/ \sigma\) be such a surface, where \(X\) is the canonical double cover and \(\sigma\) is an anticonformal involution on \(X\). The main idea is to describe the Jacobian of \(Y\) by the Jacobian of \(X\) modulo the action induced on it by \(\sigma\). The Jacobian of \(X\) is considered for this purpose in three different ways: as the dual of the space of holomorphic 1-forms, as the divisor class group, and as the group of isomorphism classes of degree zero line bundles. The same authors started their studies on the Jacobian of Klein surfaces in [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 113, No. 2, 139--152 (2003; Zbl 1049.30030)]. A mistake that appeared in a proof in this previous article is repaired in the paper under review.
