The author considers a self-similar solution of the Dafermos regularization \(u_t+f(u)_x=\varepsilon tu_{xx}\) for a hyperbolic system of conservation laws and studies an asymptotic behavior of slow eigenvalues of the linearized Dafermos operator at such a solution. Using methods of dynamical systems and singular perturbation theory the author shows how to construct asymptotic expansions of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions and also proves the existence of true eigenvalue-eigenfunction pairs near the asymptotic expansions.
