The author researches how to compute elliptical rotations. A motion of a point on an ellipse through some angle about a vector is called an elliptical rotation. The elliptical rotation matrices are computed from the elliptical type of the Rodrigues rotation formula, the Cayley transformation and the Householder transformation. The paper has many examples how to apply the found elliptical formulas. The author is also defining elliptic quaternions in order to compute an elliptic rotation matrix. Elliptic quaternions form a Clifford algebra which is an algebra generated by a vector space with a quadratic form.
