The paper under review deals with various spectral notions of aperiodically ordered point sets, i.e., non-periodic point sets of long-range order. Starting with Delone sets, i.e., uniformly discrete and relatively dense point sets in Euclidean space, the Bragg spectrum of a Delone set is introduced as the set of atoms of the diffraction measure, i.e., the Fourier transform of the autocorrelation measure. Then, ever Delone set induces a Delone dynamical system via translations and the autocorrelation measure of the measure-theoretic dynamical system is introduced. Again, its Fourier transform gives rise to the diffraction measure, whose set of atoms is the Bragg spectrum or diffraction spectrum. Moreover, the Koopman representation of a Delone dynamical systems gives rise to dynamical spectrum as the support of the projection-valued measure of the Koopman representation. Then, connections between these notions of spectra are demonstrated and the special case of pure point dynamical spectrum is discussed. The paper is written in a review style surveying the developments of the last two decades, but also pointing out open questions. The main focus rests on explaining the general ideas and results. In this way, the reader will be able to easily get the main ideas.
