The work addresses a system of coupled Hartree equations (alias density-matrix equations), which provide for the mean-field description of the dynamics of a system of locally interacting fermions in two- and three-dimensional spaces, at zero temperature. Using a technique based on estimates of Strichartz type, the well-posedness of the initial-value problem for these fermionic mean-field equations is established.
