The classification of simple separable unital \(\mathcal{Z}\)-stable locally ASH algebras (Q527394)

The authors show that unital simple separable locally ASH \(C^*\)-algebras which absorb the Jiang-Su algebra tensorially are classified by their Elliott invariant. To prove this result, the authors show that this class of \(C^*\)-algebras falls into a class of \(C^*\)-algebras which are classifiable due to a recent result of the last three authors [``Classification of finite simple amenable \(\mathcal Z\)-stable \(C^*\)-algebras'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1501.00135}]. This turns out to be a technically demanding task, and the methods developed for that purpose should be of independent interest.
