A Tychonoff space \(X\) is an \(L\Sigma(\leq\kappa)\)-space provided there is a second countable space \(M\), and a compact-valued upper semi-continuous mapping \(p:M\to X\) such that \(p(X)=M\), and \(p(z)\) is a compact space of weight at most \(\kappa\) for each \(z\in M\). \textit{V. V. Tkachuk} proved in [Topol. Proc. 19, 321--334 (1994; Zbl 0854.54022)] that every Eberlein compact space of cardinality at most \(\mathfrak c\) is an \(L\Sigma(\leq \omega)\)-space; in the main result of this paper the authors prove that this statement is true for Gul'ko compact spaces as well.
