Let \(K\) be a field of characteristic \(0\) and let \(J_{n,k}=J_{n,k}(b)\) be the Jordan algebra of the degenerate symmetric bilinear form \(b\) of rank \(n-k\) over \(K\), where \(n\) and \(k\) are positive integers with \(n>k\). In this article, the decomposition \(J_{n,k}=B_{n-k}\oplus D_{k}\) is considered, where \(D_{k}\) is the degenerate part for \(b\) of dimension \(k\). First, a basis for the \(T\)-ideal of identities of \(J_{n,k}\) is given with the assumption that a basis for the \(T\)-ideal of \(B_{n-k}\) is known. Furthermore, it is argued that the \(T\)-ideal of identities of \(J_{n,k}\) satisfies the Specht property. Then the Jordan algebra \(J_{n,k}\) with the scalar grading is considered, and a set of \(2\)-polynomials which generate the \(T_{2}\)-ideal of the \(2\)-polynomial identities is given. Also, it is shown that the Specht property is satisfied. Similar results are obtained for trace identities and graded identities.
