The paper under review is devoted to the study of the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property in the multi-linear setting. After the publication of the result of Bishop and Phelps ensuring the denseness of norm-attaining functionals, a lot of work has been done to examine the problem in the vector-valued case. One of the most active lines nowadays in this field considers the possibility of having a quantitative version of the Bishop-Phelps theorem in the vector-valued setting, which is measured through the so-called Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property. Since it was defined in [\textit{M. D. Acosta} et al., J. Funct. Anal. 254, No. 11, 2780--2799 (2008; Zbl 1152.46006)], a lot of attention has been paid to it, becoming a quickly developing topic. In the precise and complete introduction of the paper under review, the reader will find detailed information on the state of the art on the subject, as well as the necessary references to understand the state of the main problems in the field. The authors study the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property for bilinear forms on \(L_1(\mu)\times Y\), where \(\mu\) is a \(\sigma\)-finite measure and \(Y\) is a Banach space. Among other interesting results, they obtain a characterization of this property when \(Y\) is Asplund by means of the approximate hyperplane series property which was introduced in [\textit{M. D. Acosta} et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 365, No. 11, 5911--5932 (2013; Zbl 1296.46007)]. In the polynomial setting, the authors show that the \(n\)-homogeneous polynomials from a uniformly convex Banach space satisfy the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property independently of the range space of the polynomial.
