Let \(A\) be an algebra graded by a finite group \(G\) over a field \(F\) of characteristic 0. The most natural way to measure the \(G\)-graded polynomial identities of \(A\) is based on the growth of the graded codimension sequence \(c_n^G(A)\), \(n=1,2,\ldots\). In the paper under review the authors consider \(G\)-graded algebras with polynomial growth of the graded codimensions. Such algebras have recently been objects of intensive study and have been described in different terms. The paper focuses on the combinatorial and asymptotic properties of the codimensions and of several related objects as the colength, the shape of the (multi)diagrams corresponding to the irreducible components of the cocharacter sequence, etc. It has turned out that the multiplicities of the irreducible characters become constants which depend on the shape obtained from the corresponding multidiagram after removing its first row. The exact behavior of the polynomial growth is expressed in terms of the colengths. Finally the authors describe in detail the algebras with linear growth of the graded codimensions.
