On Mazur rotations problem and its multidimensional versions (Q2082041)

This is a survey article (including some new results) concerning Mazur's rotations problem, the isomorphic version of which reads as follows: if \(X\) is a separable infinite-dimensional Banach space whose isometry group acts transitively on the unit sphere \(S_X\), is \(X\) necessarily isomorphic to the Hilbert space \(\ell^2\)? The main focus of the paper is on more recent developments concerning approximate versions of Mazur's rotations problem and some multidimensional variants.
