This paper discusses the singular limit problem for the doubly parabolic Keller-Segel model (attractive interactions), as well as for the drift-diffusion (repulsive interactions) system. Main results concern the convergence of solutions of the parabolic system to those of parabolic-elliptic system as the relaxation parameter in the second equation tends to \(\infty\). This is shown in the framework of scale invariant Besov-Morrey spaces which are close to the optimal local solvability space of initial data for the Cauchy problem, and slightly more general than in the previous works. Important ingredients of the techniques used are: vector-valued Lorentz space in time, and the concept of maximal regularity, useful in cases of reflexive spaces . The relations with other works are clearly described after the formulations of (quite technical) theorems.
