Output feedback stabilization of bilinear systems using dead-beat observers

From MaRDI portal

The authors consider the output feedback stabilization problem for SISO bilinear systems of the form NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\dot x= Ax+ (Bx)u,\qquad y= cx.NEWLINE\]NEWLINE It is well known that if (control Lyapunov condition) NEWLINE\[NEWLINEx^t(PB+ B^t P)x\neq 0,\qquad x\neq 0\Rightarrow x^t(PA+ A^t P)x< 0NEWLINE\]NEWLINE holds, then the system admits a state feedback stabilizer. The authors assume that, additionally, the pair \((c,A)\) is observable. The proposed design involves a dead-beat observer and a control acting alternatively on a sequence of time intervals.
