Adaptive servomechanism controller with an implicit reference model
This paper considers the classical servomechanism problem for the case of an unknown single-input, single-output plant and an uncertain command signal. It is assumed that the command signal is modelled as an output of a homogeneous dynamical system of known order but unknown parameters. The author describes a design for a new closed-loop adaptive system with an implicit reference model and an original adaptive observer of the time derivatives of the command signal. Such a system provides asymptotic tracking of these command signals. The author's approach differs from those typically used in model reference adaptive control (MRAC) because the dynamic reference model is implicit in his approach and explicit in MRAC systems.
