The authors consider those Riemann surfaces of genus \(g=1+q^2\), where \(q \geq 5\) is a prime integer, admitting a group \(G\) of conformal automorphisms of order \(3q^2\). Sylow's theorem permits to observe that \(G\) is either isomorphic to \({\mathbb Z}_{q}^{2} \rtimes {\mathbb Z}_{3}\) or \({\mathbb Z}_{q^{2}} \rtimes {\mathbb Z}_{3}\). In either case, they provide an explicit algebraic description of these groups and observe that the quotient orbifold \(S/G\) has genus zero and exactly three cone points, each one of order three. A description of the strata in moduli space is provided and the groups of conformal automorphisms are studied in each situation. A decomposition of the Jacobian variety of \(S\) is also provided.
